What it is
The Mayer Multiple, named after Trace Mayer, shows how stretched price is above or below its 200-day average. A value of 1 means price equals the average.
How it's calculated
Each day: that day's close divided by the average of the last 200 daily closes. The percentile is the share of past days with a lower multiple.
Limitations
There is no fixed right level, and ranges from early years may not repeat in a larger market. It describes where price sits; it isn't a timing signal.
Historical context only. This is not a prediction or financial advice, and past patterns can stop working.
