Hold My Bitcoin

About Hold My Bitcoin

Simple calculators for people who hold bitcoin, made by Overfit Labs.

We built these because the most common bitcoin question is some version of "what if I had just held?" Each page answers one version of it with real daily prices. We don't forecast prices and we don't sell anything here. If you also trade, our free journal Daily Edge helps you see what your trades really earn after fees.

FAQ

Is this financial advice?

No. These are calculators that use past prices. They don't tell you what to buy or sell, and past prices don't predict future ones.

Where do the prices come from?

Past prices are daily closing prices (UTC) from Blockchain.com's public chart data, with recent days filled from mempool.space. We save them in a file on this site when we publish it. Today's price comes from Coinbase, loaded by your browser; if that fails, we use the latest daily close we have and say so.

Do you see what I type?

No. All calculations run in your browser. The sats tracker saves entries only in your browser's local storage. We count visits anonymously with GoatCounter; see the privacy page.

Why are fees ignored in some tools?

"If I'd held" ignores fees to keep it simple, so real results would be a little lower. Hold vs. trade and DCA let you enter a fee.

Who makes this?

Overfit Labs, the small team behind Daily Edge, a free trading journal. Hold My Bitcoin is free and has no ads or affiliate links.
